What are Mintzberg’s Managerial Roles?

Henry Mintzberg, a Canadian academic and management scholar, challenged the traditional view of managers as planners and controllers by observing what managers actually do. In his seminal 1973 work The Nature of Managerial Work, Mintzberg identified ten distinct managerial roles, grouped into three categories: interpersonal, informational, and decisional.
